Thoracic aortic aneurysm repair

Thoracic Aortic Aneurysm Repair is a surgical procedure used to fix a weakened and bulging section of the thoracic aorta, the part of the body's main artery that passes through the chest. If left untreated, an aneurysm can rupture, leading to life-threatening internal bleeding. The repair can be done through open chest surgery or a minimally invasive endovascular technique (TEVAR – Thoracic Endovascular Aortic Repair). The goal is to reinforce the weakened aorta wall and prevent rupture.
